I love Rick Mercer because he’s a political comedian, but you can tell he’s also a really nice reasonable guy. A lot of people who make their livings talking or joking about politics are huge dickfaces (e.g. Bill Maher) and too intense for me. And I’ve heard he’s a hilarious sweetie in real life too.

Also he’s really really funny, whether he’s doing a field piece on something completely silly or scientific or political or whateva.

He makes me feel patriotic in a really satisfying way :3
